Seg\u00fan una investigaci\u00f3n realizada por la Universidad EAN se reafirma que Colombia es un pa\u00eds tropical con variedad de ecosistemas en donde se siembran m\u00e1s de 95 tipos de frutales y alrededor de 42 especies de hortalizas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Las frutas y hortalizas colombianas, comparadas con otros pa\u00edses del subtropico, son de mejor calidad en relaci\u00f3n a color, sabor, aroma y mayor contenido de s\u00f3lidos solubles. Actualmente nuestro pa\u00eds dispone de una base productiva de 940 mil hect\u00e1reas en frutas y hortalizas y el \u00e1rea cosechada ha crecido a una tasa del 2,4% anual, en los \u00faltimos 6 a\u00f1os. Las comercializadoras internacionales en Colombia brindan la oportunidad de agrupar a varios proveedores de un mismo sector, permitiendo as\u00ed investigar mercados, buscar nuevas oportunidades de negocios, asesorar en adecuaci\u00f3n de productos, exportar como mayoristas en mercados exigentes y determinados, fomentando el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y social del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Por esta raz\u00f3n y gracias a los tratados de libre comercio que tiene Colombia y a diferentes estudios de mercados, se considera que el sector de las frutas tiene grandes oportunidades de crecer en el mercado internacional.<\/p>\n

En los resultados arrojados por la investigaci\u00f3n se identifica a Colombia como noveno proveedor de frutas ex\u00f3ticas del mundo. Sus exportaciones han presentado en los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os un crecimiento principalmente en uchuva, tomate de \u00e1rbol, tamarindo y granadilla.<\/p>\n

Los principales destinos de las exportaciones de estos productos son: Pa\u00edses Bajos, Alemania y B\u00e9lgica. Siendo Colombia uno de los principales exportadores as\u00ed mismo de una oferta importante de pitaya, gulupa y baby banana.<\/p>\n

El Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, constituy\u00f3 una estrategia exportadora de largo plazo, enmarcada en la Visi\u00f3n 2019. Identifica los diez grupos de productos de mayor potencial para la exportaci\u00f3n, con miras a incursionar con una oferta sostenida y de calidad en los mercados internacionales.<\/p>\n

Incluye entre otros, el establecimiento y posicionamiento de diferentes especies frut\u00edcolas de ciclo largo como pitahaya, mango, bananito, lima tahit\u00ed, aguacate y feijoa y de ciclo intermedio como uchuva, pi\u00f1a golden, maracuy\u00e1, gulupa, lulo, mora, tomate de \u00e1rbol y granadilla para el periodo 2006-2020. Con las metas establecidas a 5, 10 y 15 a\u00f1os, se espera que estos cultivos pasen de 83.013 millones de hect\u00e1reas en 2006 a 168.183 hect\u00e1reas en 2020 y la producci\u00f3n de 1.347.264 toneladas a 3.903.339 toneladas en el mismo per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n

According to an investigation carried out by the EAN University, it is reaffirmed that Colombia is a tropical country with a variety of ecosystems where more than 95 types of fruit trees and around 42 species of vegetables are sown.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Colombian fruits and vegetables, compared to other subtropical countries, are of better quality in relation to color, flavor, aroma and higher content of soluble solids.<\/span><\/p>\n

The international marketers in Colombia offer the opportunity to group several suppliers from the same sector, allowing to investigate markets, seek new business opportunities, advise on the adaptation of products, export as wholesalers in demanding and determined markets, promoting economic and social development from the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason and thanks to Colombia’s free trade agreements and different market studies, it is considered that the fruit sector has great opportunities to grow in the international market.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the results of the research, Colombia is identified as the ninth largest supplier of exotic fruits in the world. The main destinations for exports of these products are: The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Colombia being one of the main exporters of an important supply of pitaya, gulupa and baby banana.\u00a0<\/span>The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, was a long-term export strategy, framed in the Vision 2019. Identifies the ten groups of products with the greatest potential for export, with a view to entering a sustained and quality supply in international markets .\u00a0<\/span>Includes, among others, the establishment and positioning of different long-cycle fruit species such as pitahaya, mango, bananito, lime tahiti, avocado and feijoa and intermediate cycle such as cape gooseberry, golden pineapple, passion fruit, gulupa, lulo, blackberry, tree tomato and granadilla for the period 2006-2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the goals set at 5, 10 and 15 years, these crops are expected to go from 83,013 million hectares in 2006 to 168,183 hectares in 2020 and the production of 1,347,264 tons to 3,903,339 tons in the same period.<\/span><\/p>\n
